Remember my inspiration post about Miss Mustard Seed’s blog?
Well I took her advice and I have now finished my first project using my paint sprayer. Just to bring you up to speed, I got each chair for $7 at the thrift shop on one of their half price days. They were in perfect shape except for the ugly chair fabric
I knew I wanted to paint them white similar to Miss Mustard Seeds, but with just a little more glazing and distressing since they were going to go outside.
I used an outdoor fabric I got from Joann’s for the seat cover. That was a chore, taking off two layers of fabric on those cushions. I thought the top fabric was ugly, you should of seen what was underneath it!
I brought out from our storage, an old wine barrel and wood top that had been collecting dust. Seriously, I purchased this over 4 years ago to go in my wine cellar, but it was too big, and at the time I had no other use for it, so I put it away. It wasn’t until after I had gotten all the chairs done that I realized the table was too high! Luckily I have a handy husband, and he painstakingly cut the wine barrel down slat by slat to make it dining table height. Whew!
The table and chairs are part of a bigger plan though. This whole area eventually will have 6 columns going down the outside of the concrete area with an iron arbor above it. We are hiring that portion out, so unfortunately I am on their schedule. I can’t wait to sip some ice tea and enjoy my new space. Thanks Miss Mustard Seed!
Of course I am linking up to

Well I love everything but I am sorry the view had me distracted a bit! I hate you… Not really but you know! I love the house, the yard, the view, everything so elegant! BAH one day =)
Oh, Stephanie! First of all, your outdoor space is breath-taking. Just gorgeous. Those chairs for $7/each were such a great find and they look so good painted with their new seat covers. I also love the contrast of the curvy chairs with the rustic table. It’s perfection.
I look forward to see you linking up next week.
Love it and I would love if you would link this project up over at my blog http://www.thetshirtdiaries.com‘s Upcycled Awesome linky party – http://tinyurl.com/Upcycled5
